Don’t Do These 7 Things After You Grab A-List Blogger’s Attention

We talked about the 7 ways to snag an A-list blogger’s attention. Now let’s talk about what to do next - or rather, what NOT to do.

Don’t be in their face - all the time. So they noticed you… doesn’t mean they want you to comment on their every blog, daily - many times!

Don’t annoy, irritate or anger. No further explanation needed.

Don’t kiss ass. Flattery sucks as a long term strategy. It makes them happy for a while, but leaves them bored. Want my respect and long term friendship? Tell me the truth… even if I may not like it. (But read the next caveat).

Don’t be rude, crude or obnoxious. Surprisingly to some, it really is possible to disagree, differ or denigrate without resorting to insult, profanity or rage.

Don’t drop names. For instance, you don’t see me going around saying that I know Seth Godin, Guy Kawasaki, Andy Beard, John Reese, Rich Schefren, Tim Ferriss and John Wood - that they are my friends. That would be name dropping. Not the done thing. Oops… I just did it! But you shouldn’t, ok? :)

Don’t hang around them till they call the ’stalker cops’. Be spooky and they’ll forget you - fast. Stay far away enough to appear non-threatening, yet not so far they’ll forget you completely.

Don’t let the attention wear off to nothing. That means doing some things… as I’ll share in another post, soon!

I would love to have a 7 to 30 day marketing plan

QUESTION: I would love to have a 7 to 30 day marketing plan for an ebook that is not in the IM niche. How do I launch an ebook in another niche? What steps do I need to take?

I’ll limit the answer to your question to online marketing methods alone, though there are obviously many ways you can also market information products offline.

The thing most beginners struggle with is trying to do it all. There are well over 100 different effective marketing methods available. Trying them all will drive you nuts. It’s far more sensible - and profitable - to find 3 or 4 methods that work well for you, create a systematic approach using them, and then once you have them working automatically, keep adding new methods to the mix.

So where to begin?

There are many options, depending upon your budget, time availability and business plan.

For driving targeted visitors to your site for a modest investment, pay per click search engine advertising is the best and quickest method today.

For free traffic, the ideal methods are writing and submitting articles, social networks and media, forum marketing and blogging.

One of the bonuses I’m throwing in with my Internet Infopreneur SYSTEM homestudy program is a step by step tutorial called “Web Traffic in 30 Days”. The course sells as a standalone product for $67.00 - click here for details. It’s a bonus with the homestudy program.

No matter where you begin and what approach you use, be sure to test the method for effectiveness. If it works, do more of it and systematize it so it runs on auto-pilot. If it is not effective, drop it and try something else. Don’t waste time on non-productive marketing methods - some will NOT fit your style, no matter how much others say they are finding it useful.

Know what’s the best fit for YOUR style - and keep doing it.

What is the best way to market my infoproduct?

QUESTION: What is the best way to market self-empowering poetry “hyp-hop-notherapy”?

The ‘best way’ to market is pretty much the same for ANY kind of information product.

In a nutshell, here’s the process:

1. Find out if you are passionate, knowledgeable and experienced enough in the subject to be able to offer value to someone seeking to solve a problem, relieve pain or improve their lives in this niche.

2. Check to see if the product or service you plan to sell has a demand in your marketplace.

3. See if the ideal prospects you are targeting are accessible, and how best to reach them - what places, what approach, what kind of marketing message.

4. Survey them to see what kind of problems they face, what type of solutions they are looking for.

Once this is done, all you need to do is prepare the solution and present it to them with a compelling marketing message to close the sale - and then deliver great value to delight buyers so they keep coming back to buy more from you, and also tell other people how fantastic you are and referring new clients to you automatically.
