in Heart Smiles

The little girl was so breathless, she could hardly complete a sentence without pausing. For ten years, her little heart had burdened under the load imposed by a heart defect called “Patent Ductus Arteriosus”. The blood pressure inside her lung arteries was almost as high as we have in our main arteries! (Normally, it’s no more than a fifth of it)
Added to this problem, she had a small hole inside her heart, an “Atrial Septal Defect”.
Her operation, funded through donations to the Dr.Mani Children Heart Foundation, has returned the smile to her face. She no longer gasps for breath. And though she hasn’t fully recovered from her difficult surgery, the improvement in her health is dramatic and remarkable. Thank you for helping make it possible!
