I gave birth to a SYSTEM.

For almost 10 months, since September 2006, I was working on this big project. Finally, on June 21st, 2007, I rushed to the door when I heard the doorbell ring, expecting my ‘baby’.

It was my lucky day.

I held in my hand my first ever home study course (scroll down to see a photo of the course material)

Nine years back, I experienced the finest moments of my life when my daughter was born. And now, I felt a part of the same sense of excitement, wonder and joy as I held the Priority Mail box in my hands!

10 months of work on a project may not sound like much – until you consider my typical product creation cycle.

I work at BLITZING speed!

Most of the time, I wake up in the morning with an idea, sit at my computer and start writing a report. I’m done within a few hours, then craft a sales page, pop an order button on it – and email my list.It all happens within 48 hours – rarely a bit longer. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had one of these going for longer than 2 weeks!

This ‘Test’ Surprised Me!

I didn’t believe it – until I DID it!

In 1997, I was a newly graduated medical specialist. A pediatric heart surgeon.

That year, I also decided to become an infopreneur.

I knew little outside my specialty. I also knew that many patients and families wanted information on topics related to childhood heart defects.

So…

I Became An Infopreneur

I created my first ebook on that subject.To my delight, even though it was targeted at a very narrow niche, I was making 4 to 5 sales every month.

Today, 11 years later, the ebook has sold 241 copies at a price of $39.95 – that’s almost $10,000 in net profit!

But here’s what’s exciting – after writing the ebook and setting up the selling process, I have not touched anything except renewing the domain name every 2 years!

It took me 12 years to become a expert in my niche. It only took a year to become an infopreneur!

Making Steady Improvement

Of course, I kept learning more and getting better at this thing over time. And there is indeed a lot to learn and improve.

  • You have to find a niche where people are looking for the information you have
  • You have to survey the audience to discover what their needs are, what they are willing to pay for
  • You have to create an information product or resource that addresses this demand
  • You have to package and present it in an attractive way so that people desire it
  • You have to price it optimally and create a selling process that convinces buyers to pay for access
  • You have to get your offer in front of the right people – in a compelling fashion that closes the sale

And after all this is done, you still need to turn the simple process of selling information products into a viable and sustainable business by automating processes and creating ongoing selling systems that bring in more cash from your initial customers.

Costly Lessons = Priceless Wisdom

All this stuff took time. And I made many mistakes. Each of them cost me a lot.For instance, take the issue of price.

My second information product was a guide to publishing email newsletters and profiting from them. EZINE LAUNCH started off selling for $5.00 (yes, five bucks!)

By the time I learned about optimal pricing and selling the value in it, the price went all the way up to $147 – and it was still selling briskly at that point!

However, I had already sold 79 copies at $5.00 – which means because of not starting at the optimal price, I had left $11,218 dollars on the table!

Ouch!

If only I had known!

Every mistake or delay in implementing a component of the infopreneur process was just as expensive. Every time, after learning a new lesson, I would say to
myself: If only I had known!

But by learning those lessons, my infopreneur profits soared – and this entire process became much more fun!

From Newbie To Expert Infopreneur To Coach

Since the day I started, my portfolio of information products and resources has over 75 different products covering 14 niche markets – and range in price from $5 to $2,000.I’m now an expert infopreneur.

But I never thought of teaching anyone these steps.

Until the Infoproduct Profits Seminar!
The decision happened over lunch one day.

A friend I met there asked if I had considered selling my experience as a packaged program or even a live seminar.

I laughed it away.

This false message of doom and despair is being propogated by the ‘Dream Stealers’.

Negative folks whose primary ambition is to keep people from becoming independent entrepreneurs.

Who do it by convincing you to continue being ‘followers’.

They turn you into sheep in a herd, ready to blindly follow the leader who will crush your hopeful dreams.

And it’s taking a toll – on the WRONG person.

  • The frustrated 9-to-5′er looking for a break from the routine.
  • The job seeker fast losing hope after endless interviews, looking for something to do.
  • The bored housewife (or house-husband) looking to supplement the family income in spare time.
  • The recently (or soon to be) retired seeking to relieve the tedium of ‘retirement’.
  • The disabled or handicapped person who is out of the workforce, and searching for a way to replace that paycheck.

I say…

E N O U G H

Stop it right now.I’m about empowering individuals by showing them what is possible – and then giving them the tools, knowledge and mindset to make it happen.

None of these folks are dreaming, drooling and dying for MILLIONS.

Blaming the competition for making your life tougher? Yes, there are 5 or 10 times more ‘competitors’ – going after 100 times more BUYERS!

My point?

Don’t let the ‘negativity’ get to you – this is a GREAT time to be alive, be in business, and ‘get’ the Net.

Do you need to be professional, courteous, considerate of your buyers, treat your business seriously, invest in your education, run a streamlined operation?

But, of course!

Do you NEED those $700+ a month memberships, that $5,000 boot camp, that $25,000 mentoring program, those droves of outsourced staff in 12 different countries?

Most likely NOT!

I’ll share some numbers from my own TINY operation that’ll prove my point.

In the last 12 months, my business attracted a total of around 600 new buyers. Together, they made around 1,300 transactions with me. My average retention rate of clients is over 65%. Many have multiple transactions each year.

  • A significant number have been clients for over 5 years.
  • My mailing lists have around 6,000 prospects at any given time.
  • I have 2 outsourcing helpers. No employees.
  • A very tiny advertising budget.
  • And an ‘education’ budget that’s around 20% of my income.

Not very impressive, right?

WRONG!

These numbers translate into a lifestyle and achievement level that I could not have imagined before – and more important, a level of satisfaction and deep joy from helping other small business owners… than I could have with a multi-million dollar, multi-thousand client, multi-hundred employee organization.

And I did it all by being an INFOPRENEUR.

Working from home. In my spare time. While managing a full-time professional schedule as a heart surgeon.If I can manage that, what makes YOU think you cannot do it?

You Can.

You Will.

You Must.

And it is EASY. If you know how to do it, the process is as simple as connecting the dots.

Of course, knowing where the dots are isn’t automatic – you need to work at learning it.

You could do this by investing your time and energy testing and trying different approaches to find what works.

Or you could take a shortcut and learn from already experienced infopreneurs, observe their methods, study their system.

It’s one of the reasons I reluctantly decided to put my wealth of knowledge about being an infopreneur into the form of a homestudy course that others wanting to follow this profitable path to online wealth could learn from.

But no, that’s not what the ‘Dream Stealers’ want!

  • They want you to believe it isn’t possible.
  • They want to brainwash you into limiting your own potential.

A lot of it – far too much of it – exists ONLY in YOUR mind!

Decide upon your goals. Chalk out a winning plan. Take sustained, focused, positive action.

And sit back and laugh at the nay-sayers… at least, that’s what I do.

You have very likely heard, read or seen someone expounding on the ‘Abundance Mindset’ philosophy.

Embrace Your Abundance Mindset

As I see it, this means there is enough to go around for EVERYONE.And in essence, this is a mindset – nothing else.

I’ve been in a situation where I’ve felt almost desperately frustrated at how little success I’ve personally experienced with my online selling, as compared to others who started much later than myself.

It was a ‘negative’ mindset, one conditioned by the kind of ’scare tactics’ that permeate every communication you receive.

And it’s UNTRUE.

What you have is valuable. Maybe you’re just not seeing it!

It will be different – once you adopt a different MINDSET.

One that says:

“You have everything you need ALREADY.
You just don’t know it yet, haven’t seen it yet.”
To me, that’s the essence of the ‘Abundance Mindset’.

One of Mark Victor Hansen’s books that isn’t very widely mentioned is called “Cracking the Millionaire Code”. In it, he takes the reader through an audit – of their assets… starting with their body.

Eyes. You’ve got eyes. Can I buy them off you for, say, $5,000 ? Would you sell? No? How about $10,000 ? Or $25k? Still no?

So you’ve got TWO of them. Value: At least $50,000

And he goes on. PROVES to you that what you have as parts of your body are worth over a MILLION dollars already – you just haven’t appreciated it… yet!

Then, he goes on to help you value your connections, your network, your knowledge and experience, your values and society, your government and business environment, your age and health, your attitude and perceptions… and shows how there are MONEY CONNECTIONS all around you.

The analogy he uses is perfect.

There are radio waves all around – but you don’t feel them. Until you stick an antenna into the air, plug it into a radio, and tune in to the waves – when they become sound you can hear. Pictures you can see.

The waves haven’t changed. You have changed – by tuning in!

A good program, a good coach, a good mentor is just that – an ANTENNA that helps you tune in to your power, knowledge and potential.
