pierre Pierre Laval, fugitive former leader of Vichy France, surrenders to Allied soldiers in Austria.

Pierre Laval was a French politician and four times Prime Minister, the third and fourth times being under the
Vichy government.

After World War II he was convicted of high treason and executed.
